We were invited to the launch party of the new Bentley Brooklands at Bentley Showroom 2 months ago. I just post some new pics here. Most of the invitees were either Bentley owners or business and sporting personalities. The first picture is Bentley Showroom in Sydney.

the new Bentley Brooklands cost around $ 400,000 and Continental GTC also cost about the same.

GTC is such a beauty. Both of them are powered by massive 6.25 Litre V8 engine. In layman's terms it is 14 times more powerful than
Maruti 800!

This is the engine of Brooklands. Handbuilt in Crewe, England. Which I am going to visit this winter (summer for northern hemisphere).

Bentley, Ferrari and Jaguar

I've posted quite a few pics of our ultra-luxurious car Bentley Continental Flying Spur, this time I took a shot of Bentley including our Ferrari Daytona Convertible and farther behind you can see Jaguar XJS Convertible both of them powered by massive 6&4 Litre V12 engines.

I'm not really a car enthusiast mainly because I cannot drive any of these cars except my humble Toyota Rav4 SUV thanks to ridiculous restrictions imposed by RTA , NSW. P platers are restricted to 90 km/h max! and banned from driving cars powered by V8 engines and above and most annoying of them all we cannot carry more than one passenger at night! Many times I've angered my friends because I had to kick them off my car or risk losing my licence.

Jaguar XJS Convertible. The good thing with these expensive European cars is they do not depreciate as much as American/Japanese cars and sometime they appreciate as they became older incase of many truly classic cars. This Car is probably 15 years old now. Sad to see Jaguar has gone downhill so much under Ford's failed strategy. It'll probably be better off if it is taken over by Toyota, but thats a long shot given Toyota already have its own successful luxury car branded Lexus. But I still believe Jaguar have the potential to regain its lost prestige over the past 20 years.

Car Keys

Keys for two of our car, Bentley and Jaguar, for those who have never seen what a Bentley or Jaguar car keys would be like. They are pretty normal except you don't have to do anything with Bentley Key cause when ever you walk near the car it automatically opens the door lock for you. You may not steal this car because you won't go far as we can disable the car via GPS satellite tracking system ;)

As an ultra-luxurious car, Bentley provides concierge service world wide which means wherever you go Bentley will provide you with assistance be it parking, chauffer service or any thing you may need related with the Car. Of course thats why it is so expensive at $ 450,000 which is enough to feed the people of Mizoram for a month or so ha ha :D

Calculator

HP 17bII+ financial calculator is probably the best financial calculator around today. A must have for Accounting and Finance students and it includes almost all financial functions such as bonds, time value of money, Cashflow, depreciation and amortisation apart from all the statistical calculations you might need for some finance/accounting problems. I've been using it for a year and I think i've just explored 10% of its usefulness. On the other hand, it is based on US/Canadian financial system in such a way that bonds par value are expressed in 100 instead of $ 1000, despite the fact that US treasury bonds and notes are usually denominated in $ 1000 as in Australia, which requires all bonds calculations with par value of $ 1000 be factored into $100. My family's Bentley car. This car runs on 6000 cc (6L) W12 (12 Cylinder) engine. Extremely fast and powerful. It is twin turbocharged and have a top speed of 313 km/h. Unfortunately I am unable to drive this car since I got my Red P licence due to restrictions imposed by bloody RTA on P platers. Strangely enough L platers (learners) are allowed to drive any cars!
